How to Recycle

AUTOMOBILES
Have proof of ownership (pink slip) or, if you do not have your pink slip fill out and sign an affadavit to be presented at the time you surrender your vehicle. Clean out all trash from your vehicle. We will NOT accept your vehicle, and the towing companies will not pick up your vehicle, if it has trash inside. Wash off any part of the vehicle containing plants, grass or dirt. The Hawaii agriculture laws will not allow shipment of vehicles containing these materials.

Call one of the towing companies listed in the Yellow Pages. All towing companies set their own rates. SOS charges a recycling fee per car. We accept cash or checks with proper ID. Rates for larger vehicles are available via email. You are now ready to recycle your vehicle and help keep Maui beautiful.

APPLIANCES
SOS Metals will recycle your used appliances at no charge. Simply bring your refrigerator, A/C unit, washer, dryer, dishwasher, or hot water heater to our facility and our friendly staff will unload it for you. The County of Maui requires all residents dropping off appliances to fill out a drop off form located inside our office.

COPPER SALES
SOS Metals will purchase copper so long as the seller completes a notarized seller's statement and presents valid picture ID.
